Andrés' Page~

There are many forces that have shaped me into the person I am today; many of these forces were various family members and dear friends. The first main forces that shaped me into the person I am is my mother. She has taught me all of the important lessons that every three-year-old knows, but some of the most important lessons for someone to know in life. She gave me her morals, senses, faith, and even some of her ideals, though thankfully the ginger hair stayed with her! My next shaping force was my grandmother. She taught me to love, care for others, to accept, and to be the best person that you can. Next is my Aunt Joan. She shaped me into a music-lover and I also believed I picked up my love for travel from her. As her daughter said we got our gypsy blood from her.

The other main force that shaped me is my friends. Though I'm not going to name them all, you know who you are, and I thank you. My friends have made me into a stronger, happier, and all-around better person. My friends taught me to love who you are and to not hide it because it is mad fun to live life! However, we also shared many laughs along the way that would have anybody rolling on the floor. And there areso many other important lessons that they have taught me. Another important force that shaped who I am is all of my teachers. Love them or hate them, you're with a lot and they can have a tremendous impact on you and you're character. My teachers have taught more than two times two, and where to find Albania on a map. That have taught me many life lessons that will stick with me for the rest of my life, such as the fact the education can be fun if you love what you're being taught and can connect to it.

One other very important aspect that sculpted me into who I am is my faith. I have learned so much about life through my faith and others that share my faith. And the most important lesson that I learned from my faith, is to have faith. Another force that has shaped me is my piano teacher, Mrs. Jane Poff. She has taught me that if you work hard toward a goal you can accomplish it. I have also learned from my theatre performances. It is so much fun to do what you love to do and to do it with the ones you love. Even though there is so much hard work put in, you feel so accomplished and it doesn't even feel like work. An additional force that has shaped my life is volunteering at a park every summer for the past five years, and working with kids. Kids can be fun and cute, but be warned! They can become dangerous very fast, it's good if you can run. However, they have also showed the passion I have for caring for others, working with children, and passing on knowledge to younger generations. My final shaping force is my running and cross-country. When you feel down and like you can't move another inch you have that discipline to go a little farther. And somehow you know that you can go farther, no matter the distance, because it is just a number. You just give it all you've got and leave nothing out there to second guessing. Because at the end of the day, you know that you gave it your best and that is all for which anybody could ever wish!

Andrew,
My family as absolutely influenced and shaped me, just like you. I agree with your "love them or hate them" sentence a lot because it's accurate. Teachers are a big one too, especially ones that actually help and put forth an effort to change you. Parents and teachers taught me so much and helped make me who I am today. Aw, the paragraph about your friends was really nice and makes a lot of sense and I agree with those forces. I'm surprised you didn't say Spanish, since you love it so much and last I heard, were planning on going into it in college.
